About Ferdinand R. Eberline

..On Saturday morning at 2:30 a.m. F. R. Eberline, died at his home 3 1-2 miles east of Kensington, at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 24 days. ..The deceased was born in State Meinengen, Saxony, Germany, in the year 1837. At the age of 21 years he came to America and resided at Dayton, Ohio, for some time. He was married to Johrma Prohart, of Germany, on the 12th, day of August, 1860 and to this union, two children were born, one dying in infancy and one now living at Paris, Texas. ..Mr. Eberline enlisted in the army in 1862, in Company B, 58th, regiment, of Ohio Infantry. He was enrolled the 12th day of January and served 3 years and 9 months, being discharged the 16th day of September, 1865, at Vicksburg, Mississippi. ..Mrs. Eberline died shortly after the war and Mr. Eberline was again married to Nancy C. Reynolds, at Osceola, Clark county, Iowa. They came to Smith county, in 1880, and located on a farm, five miles northeast of Kensington. To this union, seven children, six girls and one boy was born, one girl dying in infancy. ..The children in attendance at the funeral were:-Mrs. Ida Rowe, of Stoneham, Colorado; Mrs. Mary Clark, of Bryant, Colorado; Mrs. Minnie Gipe, of Alma, Nebraska; Mrs. Emma Petty, of Bowling Green, Missouri; and Fred and Mattie, of this place. His daughter, Mrs. Guthrie, of Paris, Texas, was unable to be present. ..T. M. Brimlow, pastor of the M. E. Church, officiated at the funeral services, which were held at the home, Tuesday, June 17th, at 1:30 p.m. source: Kensington Mirror, June 19, 1913
