About Fernán Lainez
The surname of the Antolinez originated from Anton Antolinez de Burgos, the great Cavallero, in the year of one thousand and forty, of whom the general chronicle recalls in chap. 1 of 4 part. He had a daughter, who had coffee with Fernando Diaz, and according to the Count Don Pedro with Fernan Laynez, brother of the famous Prince Cid Ruy Diaz de Bivar, in which he saw Martin Antolinez, Pero Bermudez, Melendo Fernandez, Fern Alfonfo, and Ordoño the Lesser, and these were the fobrinos of the Cid many times referred to in the same story.
NOBLEZA DEL ANDALVZIA By Gonçalo Argote de Molina, Seville 1588. From Anton Antolinez Alcalde de Baeça, and from fus Armas, and from the lineage of Cid Ruy Diaz de Bivar, and from the Antolinez and Bermudez families. Chap. CXX. 129
