About Fielding Figgins

Following Revolutionary War, moved with parents and siblings to Kenton's Station (KY) about 1784-1788 and by 1802 had moved across the Ohio River into Ohio, first to Clermont County (now Brown County). Married 1794 to Eleanor Craig and had 9 children with her (shown below except Daniel and Fielding Jr.). In 1797 Fielding was appointed an officer in the Ohio Territorial militia from Adams County. In 1801 he was appointed an officer from Clermont County. About 1809 relocated to along Sugar Creek in Fayette County, OH to pursue farming. Eleanor died in 1813. Fielding married again in 1816 to widow Charity Harvey (nee Masters) and had 3 more children. Remained in Fayette County, OH until mid 1840s when he and Charity relocated to Washington County, Iowa near several of his grown children.
