--This deed made and entered into this 19th day of March 1886 between W. C. Lawson and wife Henriett Lawson and F. P. Gibson of the other part. Witnesseth that the said W. C. Lawson & wife for and in consideration of the sum of nine hundred dollars which is paid, doth hereby sell transfer and consign unto the said F. P. Gibson a certain tract of land in the 15th Civil District of Hawkins County, Tennessee adjoining the lands of George Dotson and bounded as follows--beginning at a chestnutt at the corner of the Harmon tract and running north with said line (?) poles to Geo. Dotsuns line, then south to the conditional corner of Preston Lawson and Wm. Lawson then a straight line north _E_ to the beginning containing seventy five acres more or less to have and to hold unto his heirs and assigns forever. We further covenant that we are lawfully seized and possessed of said land at that the same is vain (portion of photocopy unreadable) and we bond ourselves and heirs & to forever warrant and defend the title against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever. In testamony whereof we hereunto affix our signatures in the pressence of subscribing witness March 19, 1886 -- W. C. Lawson [his mark] & Harriet S. Lawson

--Know all men by there presents that I, C. H. Lawson a citizen of Hawkins Co., Tenn. in consideration of the terms of a title bond executed by met to W. C.Lawson commonly called Sintus Lawson, December 15, 1866 and by him transferred and delivered on the 24th day of March 1886 to F. P. Gibson who since has held the same and the said W. S. Lawson having heretofore paid me the purchase price of said land land mentioned in said title bond it being the sum of $5 (or 8). 00. Now therefore I, C.H. Laswon do hereby bargin transfer and convey all the equitable & legal estate title and fee in & to said land unto the said F. P. Gibson his heirs and assigns. Said tract or parcel of land lies and is situated in the 15th Civil District of Hawkins County, Tennessee on the south fork of Dodson's Creek and adjoining the lands of George Dodson, the lands of F. P. Gibson, the lands of Henry Lawson and my other lands, containing fifty acres more or less--Beginning at the old Harmon corner near the mill seat and thence with the Harmon line East (?) poles to a stake near the main road leading up and down what is called Terripin Valley thence with the old road in a southern direction to Dodson's Creek thence with the creek a south east course to a spring known in the neighborhood as the Gum Spring thence a southeast course to a black gum on the point of a small ridge near the line fence, thence south to the top of what is known in the neighborhood as short mountain thence in a west course to a double chestnutt at the old Harmon corner, thence with the old Harmon line North to the beginning unto the said F. P. Gibson to have and to hold in fee simple forever and I the said C. H. Lawson covenant with the said F. P. Gibson that I am lawfully seized of said parcel of land the possession thereof being in the said W. C. Lawson from the date of his transfer therof to the said F. P. Gibson and said Gibson being now in possession thereof and further I covenent with him that the said parcel of land is unencumbered, not subject to lien or other incumberences whatever and I will forever warrent and defend the title thereto against the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whomever and to this I bind myself, my heirs and assigns and all persons whatever claiming under or through me. In testamony whereof I hereto set my hand this 12th day of April 1886. -- C. H. Lawson

--Know all by these presents that I, F. P. Gibson a citizen of Hawkins County in consideration of love and affection that I have for my children I transfer and convey unto them who by name are as follows. To wit; Lula J. wife of G. W. McCurry, Sallie [N.?] wife of J. D. Kinny, H. B. Gibson, Mattie V., Clary M.. and Minnie D. Gibson all my real estate consisting of one tract of land containing one hundred acres more or less, lying in the 15th civil district of Hawkins county joining the lands of C. H. Lawson and others to be equally divided among the six children. I charge them ($20) twenty dollars a year if I should demand it of them, during my natural life if I should not demand it for any one year or number of years the said amount will not be charged for the time not demanded. I forever covenant with the above named children that I am lawfully seized of said land and the same is not encumbered. I bind myself my heirs and assigns to warrent, to defend forever the title of said land unto the above named children their heirs and assigns against the claims of all persons whomsoever given under my hand and seal, on this 15th day of Aoril 1898 -- F.
