"RESOLUTIONS

"The Women's Missionary Society of the M.E. Church, South, has sustained a great loss through the death of one of its most loyal members, Mrs. Vie Whited, widow of the late Ed Whited.

"May 27, 1935, Mrs. Whited was called home evermore being freed from the pain and suffering sho so patiently endured. She was a true type of Christian woman, preaching her funeral while living through her daily work and conversation, ever faithful to discharge any duty entrusted to her.

"She served a number of offices in the society, being twice president, always directing her life according to the teachings of the Lord. She was an effective worker through the channels of the church.

"Her place in both church and community was always a factor for the right.

"The simplicity of purity adorned her pathway.

"We thank God for her beautiful life. It becomes our sad duty and loving privilege to tender to the bereaved relatives our heartfelt sympathy and through respect to her pleased memory, resolve that through her walks among us, we had a living testimony of the Holy Spirit.

"Therefore be it resolved: That we as members of this society may be more strongly bound together in the ties of Christian duty and fellowship, so live that we, too, will be accorded a glorious welcome into the sweet home beyond.

"Resolved: That we as a society bow our hearts to Him who maketh no mistakes, who loveth His own and calleth them to people the City of God saying "Thy Will Be Done".

"Resolved: That a copy of these resolutions be recorded in the minutes of this society, a copy sent to the family, and one to the church paper for publication.

"To the daughters: Mother's going brings a deep sadness to your hearts yet, withal, the memory of her radiant life is sufficient feast for your soul.

"Is is not a blessed thought that we shall meet in that land upon whose blissful shore there falls no shadow, rests no stain, where those long parted meet again, and where we meet, shall part no more."
