Florence Armstrong

I don't know if we have any photos of Aunt Florence. She was Uncle Arthur Armstrong's mother & more like the wondeful grandmother I never knew & children's books always write about. She was Aunt Lea's mother-in-law, a round, not so tall woman with beautiful white skin, pink cheeks, thick white hair & pale blue eyes. She was so inviting & calm & gentle. She spent most of her time upstairs in her lovely bedroom & when I'd go up to visit her she always had a jar of white peppremints & a jar of pink peppermints & you could always have one as long as you asked politely. She never demanded anything; you just knew that you were to be polite. She had wonderful music boxes you could listen to if you asked first & learned to turn the wind-up carefully & to be careful...There's more but that's for later if you want to know. Aunt Florence was a dear lady & I loved her,
