Florence G. Dake b. Barry Twp. Barry Co., MI., d/o Judah Babcock Dake and Lucy Jane Gibbs married Galen O. Northrup 20 Nov 1870 Dayton Twp., Newaygo Co., MI. Galen O Northrup and Florence had 6 children: Addie, Laura, Gilbert, Nora, Ruby J., Charles Rupert Northrup. Florence G. Northrup died 1926-1927 in Portland, Muttnamon Co., Oregon. She is buried in same grave as her husband Galen O Northrup as per family information in 1980's. She was probably living with daughter Ruby J. Northrup Etherington in Portland, Oregon when she passed away.

The first four children: Addie, Laura, Gilbert, and Nora Northrup born and died before last two children Ruby J. b. 1885 Hesperia, Newaygo Co., MI. and Charles Rupert Northup b. 1889 Newaygo Co., MI. These four children all died of diphtheria and buried probably in Liberty, Cass Co., NE. or in Furnas Co., NE. where her brother Francis "Frank" A. Dake and father Judah B. Dake living. On various Census Florence G. Dake Northrup says she had 6 children 2 living which is correct. Son Charles Rupert Northrup never married and probably supported his mother at Manitou Springs Water Bottling works in Manitou Springs and later Postman in El Paso County, Co.

Family said she was buried in same grave as husband Galen O. Northrup.

Federal Census 1880 Galen O Northrup Liberty, Cass Co., Nebraska and wife Florence Northrup. No children in household. Believe 4 oldest children died from dipthteria by 1880 1900 Florence Northrup Dayton, Newaygo Co., MI. with children Ruby and Charles Northrup 1910 Florence G. Northrup Manitou, El Paso Co., CO. children Ruby and Rupert C. Northrup 1920 Florence G. Northrup Manitou, El Paso Co., Manitou Ave. Charles R. Northrup
