Florence or Flossie as she was called as a girl, was very active in the social life of Victoria. She also did charitable work.
She married Sol Oppenheimer married on February 25, 1908. He died in a car accident two years prior which left her with two small children to raise. The pallbearers werel: O Pearson, F Lansberg, C F Gardner, H Macklin, Roy McIntosh, A E Hinem.
As both parents died young, their young children Ruth and David were raised by Florence’s sister Amelia (Amy) Leiser Oppenheimer and her husband Milton Oppenheimer. Milton was Sol’s brother.
