About Fradl (Fanni) (Fanny) (Fantel) Weiss
Fradl Zerkowitz was known as "Fanni". She was named in honor of her great-grandmother, Fradl Zerkowitz (1726-1809). As a young woman, Fanni went to Trencin Co., Hungary where she was married on 14 May 1846 to Ernest [Imre] Weiss (b. 1824). In 1848, Fanni and her husband were living in Vag Besztercze, Trencin County, Hungary, next door to Isaac Tauber (c.1786-c.1848) and his wife. Isaac was also a native of Leipnik, and may have been a relative of Fanni's. Fanni and Ernest later returned to her native Leipnik where she died in 1903, age 79.
