François Robichaud (Robichaux) was born 6 Sep 1716 at Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia (previously known as Port Royal Acadia). to parents Francois Robichaud dit Niganne and Madeleine Theriot. Others in the region of Moncton and Tracadie, in New Brunswick. His descendants are also found in the region of Caplan,on the bay of Chaleurs.≤/blockquote>≤/ref>They had 9 children including François, who returned to the St-Jean River.

François died before 21 May 1764.≤ref name=White />
