Frances Alexander was known to have been buried in the Old Winchester Cemetery but no memorial marker was found. Frances' parents were Adam Michael and Mary Lucas Ehart born in Orange County, Virginia, and was one of eleven children, others being: Elizabeth, Catherine, William, Michael, John, Rachel, Adam, Lavinia, Sarah and Michael L. She married James Alexander on June 14, 1792, in Orange County, Virginia, and they had nine children: William E., Adam E., Willis, Fanny (Zacheus Evans), Willis (Francis Page), Malinda Marie (Lewis Wilson Denton), James A. (Mary Darnell), Thornton (Eliza Hulett) and Horace Martin (who married first Nancy Reeder Walker, second Catherine Houston, third Martha Burwell, and lastly, Julia Owens).
