About Frances Farrow
It has been hitherto believed that Frances is a child of William Carpenter, of Lincolnshire, and Mary Bath or Batt, of Wiltshire, but this is evidently WRONG, and the error has been perpetuated across the on-line genealogy community.
Frances married John Farrow, born 1608 Hingham, in about 1632, and they emigrated to Hingham, Massachusetts, in 1635.
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=563134.0 "I've searched the Parish Registers for Hingham, from 1600 to 1635, and didn't find one Carpenter family.
Also, I fear the "Farrow" line might not be right either.
The only references to Farrow that I found (though the pages are difficult to read) were these:-
"John ye base son of Katherin Farrow was baptised ye ...." then I can't make it out, but it's between August and September ? of 1602 https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-266-11022-83605-90?cc=1416... (it's near the bottom of the first page - you can use the Zoom button to increase size)
Next mention is in 1633 "Mary, daughter of John Farrow was baptised 22nd day of September" https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-266-11022-82851-78?cc=1416...
Then a burial for Katherin Farrow - 19 Feb 1639 https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-266-11022-82895-66?cc=1416... "

John and Frances had five children: Mary Stowell Beal, John, Remember Ward, Hannah Folsom, Nathan. According to Daniel Cushing, in 1635 "John Farrow and his wife and child came from Old Hingham, and settled in New Hingham." Both Savage and Pope misread John Farrow's will, Savage seeing "granddaughter Mary, wife of his grandson John Garnett" [Savage 2:146], and Pope reading "grandchild John Garrett" [Pope 161]. John Farrow's bequest was to "Mary Garnett (the wife of John Garnett) my grandchild," making it clear that Mary and not John was Farrow's grandchild. She was Mary Stowell, daughter of Samuel and Mary (Farrow) Stowell, who married at Hingham on 25 February 1682/3 John Garnett, and gave John Farrow two great-grandchildren before he died.
