About Frances Marie Hardisty
Frances "Marie" Kelley of Bloomfield died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 1982 at the Bloomfield Nursing Center. She retired in 1962 from Indianapolis Methodist Hospital where she was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Born January 28, 1901 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Andrew Johnson and Harriet Emma Cullison Hardisty. She was a member of the Little Cincinnati Christian Church.
Marie married Fred Miles Duzan on December 22, 1920 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN son of Samuel and Dora Jones Duzan. Fred was born July 12, 1891 in Hendricks County, IN and died June 23, 1961 in Indianapolis. Children of Fred and Marie were: Frederick Lloyd, Mary Gladys and Dora Jean Duzan.
Marie married 2nd to Wren Kelley, he was born May 1895 and died November 14, 1980.
Among those surviving Mrs. Kelley are one son, Fred Duzan of Valparaiso; two daughters, Mary Dickey of Downey, California and Dora Grubbs of Dallas, Texas; four step-sons, Paul, Claude, Ellsworth and William Kelley all of Bloomington; two step-daughters, Gladys Kelley and Louise Howard both of Bloomington; two sisters, Roxie Wright of Bloomington and Maudie Deischer of Terre Haute; one brother, Kinsey Ray Hardisty of Stanford; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wren, two brothers, Robert and Roscoe Hardisty, and three sisters, Estella Holtsclaw, Naomi Faye Hash, and Etta Ethel Martindale-Ray.
Funeral services pending at Jenkins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery
