US Census of 1830 confirms that Samuel Morgan Lewis, residing in Portsmouth, with wife age 30-40 and 8 children is the family of Samuel Lewis ACGA from book Lewis of Warner Hall by Sorley. It appears that after a sojourn in Union County, Kentucky (validated by US Census records, 1820), Samuel Morgan Lewis and family moved to Portsmouth where he resided the rest of his life, dying at age 77 in 1862.
