“.... I went to Kenmore Plantation in Fredericksburg over a year ago and saw a geneaology chart and saw the name Samuel Lewis, but no John Henry Lewis. I am thinking that perhaps Samuel Morgan Lewis had two wives and our family comes from the second wife, who was Frances Pulley. [SIC - NO]. The first wife seems to be Sarah Attaway in the book "Lewis of Warner Hall" by Merrow Egerton Sorley. I think there also may be a genealogy chart at Woodlawn Plantation (near Mount Vernon) where Lawrence Lewis and Nellie Custis-Lewis (George Washington's adopted grand-daughter) lived. ...
The birth dates 1780 vs 1785 and locations, Berryville vs. Jamestown seem to diverge for Samuel Lewis.
