we all knew her as Frances Nobel but have found documentation Francis Mable. She and my grandfather met in Washington in May 1941 while he was in the military. they had 9 children, didnt marry until years later then moved to Hillsville Va


Other documents show her family name as Hjelme, so it is quite possible she was adopted by the husband of Agnes, George Olav Hjelme, who was from Norway.
