Francina Archbold was born in 1795 in Pennsylvania, United States. Her parents were Joseph McLean and Margaret McLean.

Francina married Patrick Archbold on March 18, 1806, in Harrison County, Ohio, United States. Together they had the following children:

• John A. Archbold;
• Sarah Ann Gibson;
• Ann Gibson.

She died on September 18, 1866, in Ossian, Wells County, Indiana, United States, and was buried in Elhanan Cemetery.
