in 1825 founded the town of Francisville on the old agency site, now long gone
Jeffersonia Hawkins married Francis Bacon who came from Boston and founded the town of Francisville on the Crawford side of the Agency around 1825. It flourished until railroads were built in the area in the early 1850 s and it gradually became a dead town. After the death of Francis, Jeffersonia married Dr. J. C. Harvey
