F. A. Casto, 92 years old, who was better known to his friends and relatives as "Uncle Az", died peacefully shortly after 8 o'clock last Sunday morning.
He had been both deaf and blind for the past nine years and during recent weeks his condition had been critical and death was not unexpected. Mrs. Casto died six years ago and since that time Mr. Casto had made his home with a daughter at whose home he died.
For many years he was a resident of Ripley and owned a farm on Mill Creek. He is survived by the following children, Mrs. Fannie See of Point Pleasant, Levi Casto of Point Pleasant, Kelly Casto of Ripley, Mrs. Luda Byer of Sycamore, Mrs. Lydia Sayre of Addison, Ohio, George and Virgie Casto of Ripley.
The funeral services were held at the Epworth church in Ripley on Tuesday morning of this week with Rev. O. H. Carder, pastor of the Point Pleasant United Brethren church, in charge, and the body was taken to the Mt. Calvary cemetery for burial.
