Service For F. H. Cabot In New York

North, Feb. 6 - Funeral services for F. Higginson Cabot, owner of "Green Plains" in Mathews County, will be held at 11:30 Tuesday morning at St. George's Chapel, New York City.

A widely known financier and director of the General Public Service Corporation, a New York investment firm, he died Saturday at the age of 60.

Born in New York, he attended Groton School and graduated from Harvard in 1917, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the Fly Club and the Signet Society.

Following service as a lieutenant in the Navy during World War I he began his career with the American International Corporation. From 1923 to 1935 he served as vice president of Stone and Webster, Inc., and engineering and investment banking concern.

From 1935 to 1942 he was chairman of the board of the General Public Service Corporation, and continued as a director until his retirement in 1953.

During World War II, he served as chief of the commodities bureau of the War Production Board, and later with the Office of Strategic Services.

His survivors include his wife, Currie; a son, Francis H. Cabot Jr. of New York; a daughter, Mary Currie Cabot, of Langhorne, Pa.; two brothers, George B., of Chestnut Hill, Mass. and Quincy S. of Paris; a sister, Mrs. Patrick H. Morgan, of Andover, Mass., and two grandchildren.
