Francis Jowers

When Francis Jowers was born on 25 December 1825 in Langham, Essex, his father, Enoch, was 25 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 24. He married Martha Ann Orvis on 6 October 1848 in Tendring, Essex. They had seven children in 16 years. In 1881 Francis was living at 9 Falmouth Road West Ham with his wife, his son Horace Robert (baptised Aug 20th 1865 at St Mary's,Stratford, Bow) and a lodger called Thomas C. Cooke who was a grocer's assistant. Francis was an attorney's clerk.He died in January 1887 in West Ham, Essex, at the age of 61.

At the time of the 1861 England Census Francis was living with his wife Martha and his children Alice, Edwin, Elizabeth, Francis and Martha at All Saints, West Ham, Essex, England and his age was stated as being 33 years old.

At the time of the 1881 England Census Francis was living with his wife Martha and his son Horace at West Ham, Essex, England and his age was stated as being 35 years old.
