The second Francis Mauldin found to come to the American Colonies was one that arrived 13-14 October 1680 aboard the ship 'Virginia Factor' bound London to Maryland. This individual paid is passage.
Francis Maulden the son was listed as a carpenter. Most likely, he learned the trade in the home of Capt Thos. Bradnox.
He also settled in Calvert County, MD in the Port Republic area. On 26 April 1861 he had 250 acres of land surveyed and it was named "Prevent Danger".
Christ Church Calvert Co., MD Francis Malden one of the first Vestrymen gave one acre of "Prevent Danger" to the church. The first court of the church was held Feb 7, 1692 in the fifth year of William & Mary.
It is unknown who he married. It is highly suspect that he had at least three children if not more. The highly suspect children was
- Francis Mauldin that became known as Major Francis Mauldin,
- Elizabeth Mauldin that married David Delemere February 27 1700/01, and
- Ann Mauldin b c 1692 that married William Amos.
