Francis Sharp, Immigrant

Francis Sharp, son of Michael Pearson Sharp of Wellington and Jane Armstrong (19 born August 1811 Biggsmain, Northumberlandshire, England), was born 24 January 1834. Came to Utah 19 October 1862 with the Francis M. Lyman company. Family resided Smithfield, Utah, and Lyman, Idaho. High Priest. Ward clerk many years under Bishop Samuel Roskelly and Bishop Ferrell. Justice of the peace of Smithfield several terms. Ordained patriarch 6 May 1889 at Logan. Died February, 1891.

1. Dorothy Gill (daughter of William Gill, pioneer 19 October 1862, Francis M. Lyman company, and Mary Chicken). She was born 21 April 1840; married October 1855. Their children were:
