Obituary of Francis Marion Staggers

F.M. Staggers, aged 85 years, a well known citizen, died at his home, near Jollytown, Saturday, February 11, following a few days illness. Mr. Staggers was a son of Mrs. and Mrs. Jacob (and Nancy Pitcock) Staggers, and was born October 28, 1852. He followed farming and stock raising. Mr. Staggers was a member of Waynesburg Masonic Lodge. He was the last member of a family of five. Besides his wife, Mrs. Hattie Church Staggers, he leaves five children, Fred Staggers, Waynesburg; Mrs. Flossie Kimble, Miss Mary Staggers and Henry Staggers, of near Garrison, and Wilbur Staggers, at home, and seven grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Jollytown M. E. church. Interment was made in the Eakin Cemetery.
