Francis Barnett Watson was born C.1889 in Albury NSW .He lived with his parents at Fifield NSW in later years and worked in mining there .He also worked on the large farm called "Woodlands" ,which was in the Albert area. His Parents were Henry Barnett Watson and Jane Mulloy (later to become Mary Jane Mulloy).
Francis B. Watson (frank) married Rosabella Lindley Daughter of James Horberry Lindley who owned "Mogille Plains". They lived at Fifield and later at a house in Bobadah owned by James Deeves. They later moved to "Mogille Plains" which was 27 miles from Tottenham on the Bobadah road. Bobadah was 16 miles away.
They had a family of six ,being two girls and four boys. They were Florence May Elizabeth, Francis Horberry, Henry James ,James William ,Rosabell Mary and George Lindley.
When James Horberry Lindley died, the farm was left to Harry, James (Jim) and George. Francis Barnett Watson Managed the farm until he died.
While at Fifield Frank came first in three quarter mile flying handicap bike race, and first in the one and a half mile Fifield Athletic Club bike race at the Easter Monday sports carnival on 01-april-1912 held at Fifield. This was reported in "The Lachlander" newspaper in Condobolin.
He also wrote a poem called (In lonely Moments).
His wife Rosabella Lindley died in Tottenham Hospital on 5 April 1940 and is buried in the Church of England portion of the Tottenham Cemetery. Francis Barnett Watson died in the Tottenham Hospital on the 23-June-1956 and is also buried in the Church of England portion of the Tottenham Cemetery along side his wife.
The Electoral rolls for 1912/1917 show F. B. Watson was a miner at Fifield. The rolls for 1925 show him being at "Mogille Plains" Tottenham, Farmer.
