About Francesco Manola, biskup korčulanski
Bishop of Korčula Francesco - Frane Manola (Mannola, Manolla), son of Dominik Manola, was born in Split around 1596 and died in 1664. Around the year 1630, he served as canon of St. Jerome, and in the period from 1636 to 1637 he was a censor, appointed by the Holy See, Kačić's of the Croatian translation of the Roman Ritual. He was a Roman doctor of both rights and for some time (1642) vicar general of the archbishop of Split. He was elected bishop of Korčula in 1643, where he remained until his death in 1664.
