About Franicsco Aniag Jr.

Francisco "Jun" Briones Aniag, Jr. was a Filipino politician from the province of Bulacan. Jun started his political career as a municipal councilor of Malolos like his father, Francisco Enriquez Aniag, Sr. After the EDSA People Power revolt in 1986, he was appointed as Vice Governor of Bulacan along with then-governor, Roberto "Obet" Pagdanganan.

A true son of Malolos, he won as Congressman of the 1st District of Bulacan in the 1988 elections and served until 1992. An active Jaycee in his youth, he had a passion for service to his fellow Bulakenyos, whether in or outside the civil service. He was the first elected governor of the Rotary International District 3770 and also served the Boy Scouts of the Philippines for 30 years. He was a Masonic brother and a member of the UP fraternity, Upsilon Sigma Phi. (taken from Metro News Bulacan, Vol. XLIX No. 02, Jun 30-Jul 6 2018)
