Frank Mayne Allison

Born on 19 May 1859. Frank was baptised on 29 Jan 1862 at St Peters,PMBurg together with his siblings Mary Elizabeth,Alice Sarah and John William Allison. 1883-Witness at wedding of his cousin Catherine McCrystal to George Henry Kimberley at St Saviour's,PMBurg. 5 Feb 1884-Married Mary Jane Williams,daughter of John Williams from Helston,Cornwall in PMBurg. In 1884 Frank was a grocer living in Commercial Rd,PMBurg. In 1887age 28 Frank was a merchant-Pietermaritzburg. In March 1889 Frank and Mary Jane Allison were living in Loop Street,PMBurg. They had 7 children.Mary died on 17 Jan 1895 in PMBurg at age 32. 24 Sep 1895-Frank remarried the widow Eliza Jane Dolphin(1873-1941)(born Stone)-St Luke's Church,Howick. Her husband Frederick Joseph Dolphin had died 15 July 1894,age 25,after being married for just over 2 years.They had 2 children-Mary Florence Dolphin and Albert Victor Dolphin.
