About Frank "Redvers" Harris
Frank Harris was born c. 1900. He appears to have gone by his middle name of Redvers as this is what appears most often in historical records. He emigrated to New York looking for work when he was 26. He married Louise Holloway there. She had also come over in 1926 from Newfoundland looking for work. In a census record in 1930, it is indicated that he was a carpenter who was currently unemployed. This may explain why he later moved back to Glovertown, Newfoundland, where he and his wife both had family. A census record in 1935 shows him working as a fisherman catching codfish where he had made $225 since June of 1934. He died young in 1939 leaving behind a widow and two sons.
