About Frank Kidd
Funeral services for Frank Kidd Held at Harding On Tuesday Frank Kidd, who ranched in the Harding community for a number of years, died at the Camp Creek hospital on Sunday, December 30, 1934, at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 25 days. Deceased came to this county in 1910, from Howard, SD where the family resided for about ten years before coming here. Deceased was born at Mendota, IL, Nov. 5, 1859. He came to South Dakota and in January, 1893, he was married to Lilly B. Coon, at Madison, SD. She preceded him in death on July 5, 1921. He left the ranch some years later and made his home with members of his family. Recently he had been residing with his son, Roy, until taken to the hopsital about two weeks prior to his death. He had not been in good health for several months. Funeral services were held at Harding, at 2 p.m., New Year's Day, conducted by Rev. A. Victor Houghton, pastor of the Congregational church, Buffalo. Interment was in the Harding cemetery. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Joe Wagstaff, now residing in England, Mrs. Frank Tarrabin, of Canada and Mrs. Howard Stowell of Buffalo. Also seven sons, Myrl, Earl, Frank, Roy, Ben, William and James. All of the sons were present at the funeral except Frank. James, who is in a CCC camp in the Black Hills was able to be present. Sympathy is extended to the family in their bereavement.
