Frank S. Lacey was the son of Robert E. Lee Lacey, dentist in Birmingham, and Corine Scarbrough Lacey. His World War I draft card shows that his middle name was Scarbrough, the maiden name of his mother. He was the husband of Jettie F. Hamby Lacey, the daughter of Rev. Charles Pinkney Hamby and his first wife, Zadie Allen Hamby. Frank was a machinist in a chemical plant in Jefferson County acc. to the 1930 census. He had three children: Frank Scarbrough Lacey, Jr., Mary F. Lacey, and Elizabeth C. Lacey.
