Frank Willie Patak, Jr.

Mr. Frank W. Patak, Jr. passed away Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Ennis Care Center. He was 79.

Frank was born January 11, 1930 in Ennis, Texas to parents Frank W. Patak, Sr. and Annie (Vrla) Patak. He attended St. John Catholic School in Ennis and graduated in 1949. On June 2, 1951 he married Janie Prachyl and they made their home in Ennis. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After returning to civilian life, he worked 40 years for Ennis Business Forms as a Pressman. He was also a life-time farmer. Frank was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the KJT, VFW and the American Legion.

Frank is survived by one son, Michael Patak, and his wife, Stephanie, of Ennis; two daughters: Theresa, and her husband, Joe Strunc, of Ennis, and Nancy, and her husband, Jerry Santos, also of Ennis; one brother, Raymond Patak, of Ennis; sisters: Haddie Zalkovsky, of Ennis and Geraldine Spaniel, also of Ennis; four grandchildren: Lisa Gilmore, Rebecca Escobar, Raymond Patak and Ryan Patak; six great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Janie, his parents, two brothers, one sister and two grandchildren: Robin Cervantes and Clint Santos.

Rosary and visitation will take place Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 7 p.m. at the Keever Chapel in Ennis. Mass for the Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 17, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Ennis. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
