Frank Zar IV, a truck driver for Office Depot, died Monday of heart failure at Hancock Medical Center in Bay St. Louis, Miss. He was 39.
Mr. Zar was a lifelong resident of Lafitte. He was a baseball and football coach at Pard Playground in Marrero.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Ann Zar; four sons, James Matthew, Douglas and Logan Zar; a daughter, Caitlin Zar; his father, Frank Zar III; his mother, Madeline Rodrigue Montagne ; his grandparents, Audrey and Frank Zar Jr. and Leeland and Claudia Rodrigue; a brother, Robert Zar; and a sister, Allyson Tolor.
A Mass will be said today at 1 p.m. at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m.
