About Franklin Benjamin Fosdick
Acc. to the Fosdick family book by Leo Kubeska in 1997, Franklin was a farmer, quarryman & small business owner of a shingle mill who had some literary inclinations and fathered 14 children by 2 wifes despite getting a disability pension for contracting billious fever.. (Three by 2nd wife.) He divorced both wives.
The Kubeska book lists the impressive Civil War campaigns he engaged in over 3 yrs. .Franklin Benjamin's brother, Charles was a prisoner in the infamous Andersonville and wrote a book, "500 Days in Rebel Prisons."
