   Frederick Marcus Montelius was born October 25, 1752 in Upper Saxony, Germany. He arrived in Philadelphia on th ship "Sally" from Rotterdam and took his oath of Allegiance August 23, 1773. He was a Lutheran. he married Christianna Bartholomew in Philadelphia, October 8, 1777. They were married by Reverand Michael Schlatter, Reformed Minister.

The will of Marcus Montelius of Cacallico Township, Lancaster, Pa. Book J page 385 says he was a storekeeper at Reamstown.
