About Frederick Frank Meunier, Sr.
He was born to The Federal Census of 1920 shows him living in Florence,Florence.Wisconsin. The Federal Census of 1930 shows him living in Scott, Brown County, Wisconsin. The Federal Census of 1940 shows him living in Preble, Brown County, Wisconsin where he worked as a laborer in a vegitable cannery in Preble. He moved with his wife, Viola M. Benoit Meunier to the Manitowoc area from Green Bay in 1940. He seemingly met Joyce after the death of Viola. Joyce said that her children and the Meunier children went to school together in Manitowoc and that she remembered her children coming home and reporting that the Meunier children had lost their mother.
At this point in time, I am unable to say exactly when Joyce's relationship with Dick Meunier ended and the relationship with Jerry Swaggerty began. The two relationships, however, clearly overlap. The Manitowoc Herald Times states that Joyce Meunier announced the engagement of her stepdaughter, Joan Marie Meunier to Robert Greetan on July 28, 1968. No mention of either Dick Meunier or Jerry Swaggerty is given. A November 5, 1968, article in the Two Rivers, Wisconsin, paper states that twin sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Swaggerty.. However, an article in the Manitowoc paper of December 13, 1968, states twin sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Meunier. Another issue of the Manitowoc paper states than when Joyce's step-daughter, Alice Meunier, married Robert Blaubach in February 1970, Joyce and Jerry Swaggerty served as attendents/witnesses. Jerry Swaggerty was described as Alice's step-father. No mention is made of Dick Meunier. Rosie L. Swaggerty was born in Wisconsin Rapids on September 4, 1970. Her father was Jerry Swaggerty. Joyce and Jerry married in Waukegan, Illinois, on September 4,1970. Charles Swaggerty was born to Joyce and Jerry on July 20, 1972. The Manitowoc paper states that at the baptism of Robert Greetan Jr. in Manitowoc on December 9. 1971, guests included Robert John's maternal grandfather of Green Bay. This is the last mention I have found of Fred Meunier until his death in 1979.
My guess would be that the relationship beween Joyce and Fred began shortly after the death of Viola in 1963. Joyce "Dolly" Meunier was born to Joyce and Fred on October 3, 1964. Fred F. Meunier was born to Joyce and Fred on May 19 1966. They must have divorced after May 1966 and prior to September 1970 when Joyce and Jerry married. Joyce and Jerry Swaggerty's relationship seems to date from 1968. One of the Swaggerty children told me that Fred left Joyce and moved to Florida(leaving her with the care of Fred's children as well as the other children). I've found neither a record of Fred living in Florida or of the date of the divorce of Fred and Joyce.
