About Frederick Arthur Harrison
Frederick, who wasn the youngest of Thomas and Mary Harrison's 14 children was married to NZ born Maria Bishop who returned from America for that purpose. In 1905 he, together with his wife and two children went to America to live.
At Auckland, on the way, he was so impressed with an electric light, which he had then seen for the first time, that he trained as an electrical engineer in America.
His daughter, Dorothy Walvtne, visited NZ in March 1966.
