news paper :Richardson— Guinness. — On Thursday, 31st October, at St. Cuthbert's Church, Collingwood, by the Rev. Mr. Sedgwick, F. C. Richardson, fourth son of Charles Richardson, Esq, of Cary Castle, Torquay, Devon, to Catherine Mary, eldest daughter, of F. Guinness, Esq., Resident Magistrate, Collingwood.

Lived briefly in Christchurch then arrived in Auckland 26th November 1879 on Vessel "Fernglen"

Owner of Several Auckland properties including a 'Town House" in Grafton Road and Vine Bank , their "Country House" which they sold to manager of Cheslie Sugar Works in Birkenhead , Vine Bank was where the family grew up , having thier yatch moored at the base of their land , prior to the instalation of Auckland's railway via the waterfront. Vine Bank was then donated By Mr. J Wilson ( of the Wilson & Horton / NZ Hearld) to the Presbyterian Church and trust and is now recognised as St Kentigerns School .

Joined the Royal NZ Yacht Squadron 3rd Nov 1898 -1911 Owned or had part interest in Marangi ,a 51 foot yawl , built by Robert LOGAN 1887 Mizpah , a 28 foot keel boat

Frederick Charles Richardson retired to 9 Upper Addison Gardens, Kensington with his Wife CATHERINE MARY ( NEE Guinness) and their daughter, all who remained unmarried

The family were active members and benifactors in St Mary Abbots The Parish Church of Kensington
