About Frederick Robert White

Marriage announced in "The Sydney Morning Herald" of Tuesday 19 June 1860:

"On the 7th June, at Pitt Town, by the Rev. W. E. White, of Muswellbrook, brother of the bridegroom, assisted by the Rev. Thomas Wilson, of Pitt Town, Frederick Robert White, Esq., of Timor, Murrurundi, to Sarah Amelia, youngest daughter of Thomas Arndell, Esq., of Caddie, Windsor. "



He was the owner of Harbenvale and Timor Stations, in the Murrurundi district; Rockwood, in the Uralla district; and Pikedale, in the Stanthorpe district, Queensland.

Booloominbah designed by Canadian-born Sydney architect John Horbury Hunt, was constructed on the outskirts of Armidale for Frederick Robert White, who was looking to establish a headquarters from which to run his large properties in the Upper Hunter, in the New England region, and in Queensland, and who moved to Armidale in the early 1880s.
