Frederick graduated from Yale in 1786. He was Clerk of Common Pleas in 1793 and appointed Judge of Probate in 1796. In 1808 he was elected the CT Gen. Assembly and in 1810 to the CT Senate. He was a partner in the Wolcottville Woolen Mills and a livestock breeder.
