About Frederico Gianelli, SJ
Frederico is a Jesuit. He is a Roman Catholic Lay Chaplain, Board Certified by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, with Advance Certification in Hospice Palliative Medicine. He studied philosophy and theology as part of priesthood training, holds the equivalent of a Master of Divinity degree from the University of “Monsignor Mariano Soler” in Montevideo, Uruguay, and studied theology at Mount St. Mary’s College, Los Angeles, CA. He earned a Master's in Theological Studies at the Jesuits School of Theology in Berkeley. He completed a Clinical Pastoral Education internship and residency at St. Camillus Center for Urban Interfaith Spiritual Care on clinical work at LAC & USC. Before attending Stanford, Frederico was a Palliative Care Chaplain on the Pediatric and Adult Palliative Care Team. He was an active member of the Los Angeles County + University South of California's Ethics Committee and Tissues and Organs Donation Committee (One Legacy).
Recently he has been missioned by the Society of Jesus to go to Belize City, Belize.
