About Fredrick Esterhuizen
Fredrick Esterhuizen (1957 - 2005)
Brief overview:
Fredrick (48), a divorcee, who lived alone, was tied up, tortured, bludgeoned with a baseball bat, and stabbed to death, in his Oak Place home in Pinetown on 11th April 2005.
His home was invaded by three males, who tied his hand and legs up with nylon rope, and took him into the spare bedroom. He was repeatedly hit on the head with a baseball bat.
Investigators from the Durban Serious Violent Crime Unit said his house had been vandalised. The killers had stacked a large quantity of stolen items in the garage, and it appeared that they were intending on stealing Fredrick's car. They fled without taking anything which indicates that they must have been disturbed, or unable to start the car.
"Police said it seemed that Esterhuizen put up a tremendous fight with his attackers as there was blood all over the house. He had more then 10 stab wounds."
