Frederick came over to the United States on the ship "KONIGEN LUISE"in 1913. His voyage started Sept.4th from Bremen,Germany and ended Sept 15 in New York. It stated on the passenger list that he was going to see his friend,Ludwig Heffern.The list also stated his father's name as "Oswald Heydrich".It listed Fred's name as "Fritz".-info from passenger list copied from microfilm in the Family History Center,Salt Lake City ,Utah. "Fritz" was a nickname given to Fred by some people in America, that he was acquainted with. He was also told by the immigration office when he came over that if he wanted a better chance in America, he should "americanize" his last name of HEYDRICH. So he changed it to HEIDRICK.-info about name spelling given to me by Fredrick's daughters. Some of Fred's many occupations included Clerk, Waiter and Carpenter. On his death certificate,it lists his occupation as "retired carpenter". German spelling of name could be"Friedrich August Wilhelm Heydrich". Fredrick became a naturalized citzen of the United States of America on Sept 11,1934.-info about naturalization from naturalization certificate. Burial info is from notice given out at funeral.
