Freeman was born 28 Jul 1727 at Eastham[1] He was the son of Benjamin Higgins and Sarah Freeman

Marriage to Martha Cole “Fabruary ye 20th 1746/7 then entred the intentions of Freeman Higgens and Martha Cole both of Eastham to proceed in marriage” [2]

Timothy Higgins b. 28 march 1749 Apphia Higgins, b. 1 Oct 1752 Marriage to Thankful Hopkins He married 14 Jul 1757 Thankful Hopkins the daughter of Caleb Hopkins and Mercy Freeman.[4]

In 1790 his family consisted of four persons, probably himself, wife, and one son and one daughter. In 1774, Mrs. Thankful Higgins was a member of the First Church of Christ at Eastham-Orleans, but Freeman Higgins was not a member. [5]
