BIOGRAPHY Georg was the son of Georg von Reibnitz, founder of the Rathen line of the Reibnitz family, and Barbara von Glesil. In 1466 he married Christine von Jenkwitz, heiress of Petrikau, the widow of Martin von Frankenstein, and daughter of Matthias von Jenkwitz and Barbara Rothe gen. von Rothenhan. They had three sons of whom Diprand and Georg would have progeny. Georg inherited his wife's estates, including Petrikau. In 1466 he purchased Romberg and sold his share of Koberwitz and Wäldchen. In 1468 he established his family on Petrikau. In 1467 he was appointed _Königsmann (Landgerichtsbeisitzer:_ a member of the court for property matters), the same post held by his father. In 1482 he held the estates of Rathen, Romberg, Petrikau and Hermannsdorf. Christine died about 1483, and soon after Georg married Margarethe von Borschnitz, with whom he had four daughters, none of whom had progeny. In 1484 he acquired the estates of Deutsch-Lissa and Muckerau. In 1487 he sold Romberg. In 1491 he also acquired Bischkowitz.
Georg died about 1493
