Frieda Zirkel

Although Frieda immigrated to the US at a young age, she maintained a loving (if long-distance) relationship with her two sisters and brother. She and her husband visited Germany several times, at least three times together and possibly more on her own. He visited her family in Germany (Hanni and Georg) and California (Elizabeth).

In Germany she met her nieces Arntraud and Jutta, who vividly remember her in 2014. They describe her as "gemutlich", meaning cozy. She was quiet but warm and loving.
