Children of Thomas Osborn 2 who are not usually given in genealogies may have been Jonathan and Bezaleel. Osborn Shaw thinks so. At any rate, there were Osborns here bearing those names at dates when they could have been sons of Thomas 2; although Judge Henry P. Hedges was inclined to think they were together with another Joseph, sons of a wealthy Boston merchant, William Osborn. William Osborn 1 was in Salem 1630, in Dorchester 1639, at Harvard College 1661; he had a son Recompence born in Dorchester 1644, at Braintree, Mass. had Hannah born Aug. 24, 1646, Bezaleel May 8, 1650, and in Boston had Joseph born April 6, 1652 and Jonathan born Nov. 16, 1656. He died 1662. His widow married John Mulford of East Hampton. (Widow Friedeswiede Osborn). Recompence 2 graduated from Harvard and later taught school in New Haven, then went to East Hampton and after 1665 disappears, probably died here; Jonathan went to Cape May, N.J. where he and his brother Joseph owned a house together in 1690. Joseph is probably the "Joseph Sr." who died in 1741 in East Hampton aged about 90.

John Mulford married, 2nd, Friedeswiede (widow of William Osborn), but she was not the mother of any of his children. All the children were by his first wife, identified as Hannah Howell of Southampton, according to various clues, the daughter of Edward Howell, founder of Southampton. An early victim of the fanaticism which eventually bewitched Salem, Massachusetts, Hannah died in infamy and for this reason was forgotten in most family recollections.
John Mulford's (1606-1686) will was dated 04 December 1683 and it was proved 19 October 1686. He was probably buried in the Southend Burying Ground, but the wooden markers of the time did not survive. His will mentions second wife Friedewiede and carefully divides his large estate between her and his children. Cory, 1937; by J. H. Jones, 1907.) Judge John Mulford died in 1686, at East Hampton, Suffolk, New York, at age 81.
Her last name at birth likely was not Swiede and remains actually unknown. Although her first name is divided by some into two names, evidence is in favor, and most sources agree, that Friedeswiede was a single name, after Saint Frideswide (Frithuswith) of Oxford, England. Wikipedia

(_____) (Osborn) Mulford, neighbor in Boston, was called "sister Moleford" in Collicott's will, and was probably a sister of second wife Thomasine. Coddington suggested that Frideswide and Thomasine were born Wards and were younger half-sisters of Samuel Ward of Hingham or of Ward's unknown wife.
