She was born about 1641 in Bourg-de-Magny, Normandie, France, and died 22 Mar 1732 in Boucherville, Yamachiche, QC.

Notes for Gabriel Benoit-dit-Laforest: Gabriel was born about 1637 in the parish of Saint-Prix (canton and near Montmorency, archdiocese of Paris), Île-de-France, the son of Claude Benoit and Anne Fontaine. I found them in the Trois Rivières, St. Maurice, QC 1666 census. The ages match and they were newlyweds at that time with no children.

Their names were spelt Gabriel Benoist 30 and Marie Gaudry 25

. She was not able to sign her marriage contract and would not have realized their names were not spelt correctly. Also, in those days no one cared how their names were spelt. How the names were spelt was left in the hands of the notaries, census takers and church clergy. He and Marie-Anne settled at Champlain.
Gabriel Benoit dit Laforest died 27 October 1686 and was buried the next day at Trois Rivières.
