"Mrs. Galena "Tink" Ford, 85 years of age of Meadow Lane, Bridgeport, WV, died on Monday, April 13, 2009, at her residence. She was born June 15, 1923, in Salem, WV, the daughter of the late Benjamin McKinley and Georgia Meryl Heflin. She spent her childhood years on the family farm in Doddridge County. She was married for 59 years to Jesse C. Ford, Jr., who passed away on April 15, 2009.

Mrs. Ford is survived by a son. Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by a daughter, Lana "Lambie" Lore Ford.

Mrs. Ford graduated from Business College in Clarksburg and was a beginning participant with Alamco, Inc. She worked for the president of the company as an executive secretary. She was a member of the Bridgeport United Methodist Church and the Bereaved Parents of the USA, Bridgeport, WV, Chapter.

"Tink" was always generous and kind to her family and all who knew her. She very much enjoyed her community and playing a weekly game of bridge with her friends. She was also an avid and loyal West Virginia Mountaineer fan."
