MASSILLON -- Gary W. Bosley, 59, of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, after a courageous four-week battle with cancer. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Faith Community Fellowship, 1303 9th St., SW, Massillon, with Pastors Mark Engel and David Kimberly officiating. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Mount Eaton. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, or one hour prior to the services at the church. He was born Nov. 14, 1943, in Massillon to James and Ethel (Reed) Bosley and married Ruthann Steyer on April 21, 1973 in Fresno. She survives. Gary attended Dalton High School and was a 1961 graduate of Orrville High School. Following graduation, he attended Kent State University and Malone College. In 1968, he graduated from Pittsburgh School of Mortuary Science and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1969-71. He was employed at Wappner Funeral Home in Mansfield for 10 years and retired from Prentice Funeral Home in Akron. Gary was a member of Canton First Friends Church and Christian Funeral Directors of Ohio. He loved the Lord and was a devoted, caring husband and father. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Surviving in addition to his wife, are sons, John James "J.J." Bosley of Canton and James John "Jami" Bosley and his fiancee, Lori Puglia, both of Akron; a brother, Dewey (Molly) Bosley of Schenectady, N.Y.; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Bosley of Rittman; his mother-in-law, Emma Steyer of Massillon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, a brother, Marshall Bosley and his father-in-law, John Steyer, died previously.
